Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial "Equality" T-shirt

This handsome hand-designed, full color Abraham Lincoln T-shirt with an emphasis on equal rights was created for the Lincoln Bicentennial. Lincoln believed in equality, so make a statement on it with this T-shirt!

The quote around the picture reads "I believe the declaration that 'all men are created equal' is the great fundamental principle upon which our free institutions rest". Lincoln wrote this in a letter at around the time of the Lincoln-Douglas Debates. The color picture of Lincoln in the center represents a point in time in the summer of 1862, when Lincoln was working on a then-secret document now known as the Emancipation Proclamation. Here Lincoln is in his office in the White House, with his Emancipation Proclamation lying on his desk in the background, waiting for the right time to announce it. This historically accurate rendering of Lincoln in his office, which I meticulously created, is based on photos and descriptions of Lincoln's White House office. Since the Emancipation Proclamation was secret at the moment in history this illustration portrays, this illustration of Lincoln is truly unique - so enjoy it.

On the back of the shirt, there is a black and white picture of Lincoln. Below the picture the shirt reads, "A. Lincoln, Bicentennial, 1809-2009".

Both the front full-color design and the black and white design on the back are screen printed onto a 100% cotton white Gildan T-shirt. This design is also available in adult medium, large, X-large, and 2X-large. Pictures show X-large size T-shirt. T-shirt shown is a sample, you will receive one that has never been worn.

Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial "Back to Springfield" T-shirt

Celebrate Lincoln! This colorful, collectible screen printed Abraham Lincoln T-shirt features Lincoln as if he came back to Springfield for his Bicentennial. Wouldn't it be neat if Lincoln was around for his 200th birthday? What would he think?

A large, full-color portrait of Abraham Lincoln adorns this hand-designed, limited edition T-shirt, with his new Presidential Museum here in Springfield, Illinois, as a backdrop. Behind the museum, colorful fireworks are going off to celebrate his Bicentennial. It's Lincoln's 200th birthday and it's time for him to have a party!

I based the illustration of Abraham Lincoln on this T-shirt on the last known photo of him taken in February of 1865. The pictures of the museum and the fireworks were taken myself. I used a free, open-source program called the GIMP, which is similar to Photoshop, to help me create this detailed Lincoln design and blend it all together.

The design is screen printed onto a black, 100% cotton, union made in the U.S.A., Bayside brand T-shirt. It's sweatshop free, just the way Abraham Lincoln would want it. The screen printing has a glossy finish which adds to the colorful effect of the design. The design will maintain its vibrant colors and glossy effect through many washings with proper care (cold water, gentle cycle, no bleach, hang dry).

This T-shirt is available in adult small, medium, large, X-large, and 2X-large. In addition to black, it is also available in red and blue. Pictures show adult X-Large size T-shirt. T-shirt shown is a sample; you will receive one that has never been worn.

If you like this T-shirt, order it today as no more will be printed! Once they are gone, they are gone!

"Immortal Words at Gettysburg" Lincoln T-shirt

Seven score and seven years ago, Abraham Lincoln made a speech that would be remembered by every generation and culture, and this unique T-shirt explores this. The Gettysburg Address - which is screen printed in its entirety on this Abraham Lincoln T-shirt - is only 272 words long, and is forever remembered as an eloquent expression of the ideas of freedom, democracy, and equality.

I meticulously put each one of those 272 words in a different font. Each font evokes a different era and a different culture, representing the timeless nature of Lincoln's words at Gettysburg and the memory of those words in many different kinds of people across the world.

Those words, in 272 different fonts in red, have been combined with a picture of Lincoln, in blue, to complete this Abraham Lincoln T-shirt design. I chose to base the design off of the picture of Lincoln that I did since it was taken less than two weeks before his speech at Gettysburg.

The entire design is screen printed onto a very soft, white, 100% cotton, made-in-the-USA American Apparel T-shirt (except for the men's 4X size T-shirts, these use 100% cotton, made-in-the-USA Bayside brand T-shirts). Both men's and women's versions of this T-shirt are available. The design is an "oversize" design that fills most of the front of the shirt, so you can easily read the text and see the details in the fonts and the picture of Lincoln, and experience the design as I originally intended it to be. Since Abraham Lincoln would not approve of sweatshop labor, this T-shirt is sweatshop free. Now, you can contribute to the immortality of the address - and of the man who gave it - by wearing them both on a T-shirt. Neat, isn't it?

Men's XL size T-shirt shown. T-shirt shown is a sample, you will receive one that has never been worn. These T-shirts tend to run a little small, particularly the women's T-shirts; if you are concerned about this, order one size up.

"80s Abe" Lincoln T-shirt

Show the world how totally awesome Abraham Lincoln was with this fun hand-designed, 80s-inspired, full-front-print Lincoln T-shirt!

Made up of electric blue and neon red, I based the striking illustration of Lincoln on this T-shirt on a portrait of Abraham Lincoln taken in February of 1865 that features Lincoln with an 80s-style crew cut. I took the darker parts of the picture, and made them neon red, and the lighter parts, and made them electric blue. The reason for Lincoln's haircut is that around the time of this portrait, sculptor Clark Mills was making a life mask of Lincoln's face, and hair stuck to the plaster used to make it - necessitating a short haircut. As an 80s fan and a Lincoln fan, I've always thought this portrait of Lincoln was totally rad!

Completing the design is Lincoln's signature, written up along the left edge of the illustration of Lincoln. The design fills up much of the front of the T-shirt, and it's big, just like the 80s were! My love for Lincoln and the 80s are what inspired me to create this T-shirt. I wanted to have some good old 80s fun making my first "full front" print Lincoln T-shirt, and I did!

The design is screen printed onto a kelly green, 100% cotton, American Apparel unisex T-shirt. It's supersoft, made in the U.S.A., and sweatshop free, the way T-shirts were made in the 80s and the way Abraham Lincoln would want it.

This T-shirt is available in adult small, medium, large, X-large, 2X-large, and 3X-large. In addition to green, it is also available in black, blue, and yellow. Pictures show adult 2X-large size T-shirt. T-shirt shown is a sample; you will receive one that has never been worn. These T-shirts tend to run a little smaller than normal; if you're concerned about this, order the next size up.

The design is screen printed onto a yellow, 100% cotton, American Apparel unisex T-shirt. It's supersoft, made in the U.S.A., and sweatshop free, the way T-shirts were made in the 80s and the way Abraham Lincoln would want it.

This T-shirt is available in adult small, medium, large, X-large, 2X-large, and 3X-large. In addition to yellow, it is also available in green, black, and blue. Pictures show adult X-large size T-shirt. T-shirt shown is a sample; you will receive one that has never been worn. These T-shirts tend to run a little smaller than normal; if you're concerned about this, order the next size up.

"Purpose" Lincoln T-shirt

Lincoln suffered many losses during his lifetime. He had a hardscrabble youth and lost his mother when he was 9. In 1832, Lincoln ran for public office for the first time, and lost. During his single term in the U.S. House of Representatives, Lincoln tried, and failed, to abolish slavery in the District of Columbia. During his high-profile 1858 U.S. Senate race, Lincoln debated his rival Douglas over the issue of slavery seven times, but ultimately lost.

Yet, Lincoln never stopped believing. The inspirational Lincoln quote on this T-shirt comes from a letter he wrote during the summer of 1862, when the war was going badly and Union losses were great. It reads, "Adhere to your purpose and you will soon feel as well as you ever did." Through it all, Lincoln did what he believed in, and ultimately succeeded in abolishing slavery with the passage of the 13th Amendment.

This sense of purpose that Lincoln had continues to inspire me, and other people, today. Paired with the quote is a unique, painting-like illustration of Lincoln that I created. I used bright, inspiring colors in the illustration to represent Lincoln's purpose, confidence, and determination. I could feel these aspects of Lincoln as I was gently creating the brightly-colored strokes you see in places like his hair. Now you, too, can get inspired by Lincoln - and spread that inspiration to others.

The design is screen printed onto a black, 100% cotton, American Apparel unisex T-shirt. It's supersoft, made in the U.S.A., and sweatshop free, because Lincoln didn't believe in slavery. (Note: Size 4X-large is printed on a 100% cotton Bayside unisex T-shirt, since American Apparel only goes up to 3X-large. These T-shirts are also made in the U.S.A. and sweatshop free.)

This T-shirt is available in adult small, medium, large, X-large, 2X-large, 3X-large, and 4X-large. It's also available in women's sizes, which feature pink in the illustration of Lincoln instead of turquoise. Pictures show adult X-large size T-shirt. T-shirt shown is a sample; you will receive one that has never been worn. These T-shirts tend to run a little smaller than normal; if you're concerned about this, order the next size up.

"Wide Awake Club" Campaign 1860 Lincoln T-shirt

Show your support for Abraham Lincoln by wearing this unique T-shirt, which features an original design resembling a Lincoln campaign poster from 1860. If campaign T-shirts were around for Lincoln's 1860 presidential campaign, this is what one may have looked like. I can imagine throngs of Lincoln supporters wearing it!

Based on a popular engraving of Lincoln's famous Cooper Union portrait, taken in New York City in 1860 and widely used during Lincoln's 1860 campaign, this T-shirt features a lot of the slogans and symbolism used during his campaign. (Engravings were used instead of photographs in print during this time, since halftoning - the process by which a photo is printed using miniscule dots of differing sizes - had not been invented yet.) The "Wide Awakes" were localized grassroots groups of young Lincoln supporters in 1860, thus the name of the T-shirt, and the reason why "Wide Awake Club" is written along the top. Common slogans and nicknames used during Lincoln's 1860 campaign like "Honest Old Abe" and the "Railsplitter of the West" are printed alongside the lower half of the oval-shaped portrait of Lincoln. Imagery related to Lincoln's "Railsplitter" moniker - used often during the campaign - forms the remainder of the area outside the lower half of the portrait of Lincoln.

Above the portrait of Lincoln, there are 33 stars - one for each state in the Union in 1860. Completing the design is the text "ABRAHAM LINCOLN for President 1860", written in bold 1860s-style fonts at the bottom of the design, below the portrait of Lincoln. Both the Lincoln portrait and the various design elements have been carefully and artistically separated into patriotic red and blue colors.

The entire design is screen printed onto a very soft, cream colored, 100% cotton, made-in-the-USA American Apparel T-shirt, so it looks and feels old. Both men's and women's versions of this T-shirt are available. Lincoln hated slavery, so this T-shirt is made using sweatshop free labor.

Men's XL size T-shirt shown. T-shirt shown is a sample, you will receive one that has never been worn. These T-shirts tend to run a little small, particularly the women's T-shirts; if you are concerned about this, order one size up.
