This handsome hand-designed, full color Abraham Lincoln T-shirt with an emphasis on equal rights was created for the Lincoln Bicentennial. Lincoln believed in equality, so make a statement on it with this T-shirt!
The quote around the picture reads "I believe the declaration that 'all men are created equal' is the great fundamental principle upon which our free institutions rest". Lincoln wrote this in a letter at around the time of the Lincoln-Douglas Debates. The color picture of Lincoln in the center represents a point in time in the summer of 1862, when Lincoln was working on a then-secret document now known as the Emancipation Proclamation. Here Lincoln is in his office in the White House, with his Emancipation Proclamation lying on his desk in the background, waiting for the right time to announce it. This historically accurate rendering of Lincoln in his office, which I meticulously created, is based on photos and descriptions of Lincoln's White House office. Since the Emancipation Proclamation was secret at the moment in history this illustration portrays, this illustration of Lincoln is truly unique - so enjoy it.
On the back of the shirt, there is a black and white picture of Lincoln. Below the picture the shirt reads, "A. Lincoln, Bicentennial, 1809-2009".
Both the front full-color design and the black and white design on the back are screen printed onto a 100% cotton white Gildan T-shirt. This design is also available in adult medium, large, X-large, and 2X-large. Pictures show X-large size T-shirt. T-shirt shown is a sample, you will receive one that has never been worn.
Washing instructions: Machine wash and rinse inside out, in cold water, in the gentle cycle, with mild detergent. No bleach. Hang dry (recommended) or low/no heat in the dryer if necessary.
